12/30/06 Big Game Results
Results: Red Team won by 100pts Generals: Blue Team - Homer "Shadowheart" Smith (Team Dead Reckoning) Red Team - Joe "Lil' Billy" Williams (Team Dead Reckoning) Report: The day started with even matched teams, the horn blew and the first mission was given to each general - find three crates and bring them back to CP at half time. The fighting was fierce and real estate was changing colors at an alarming rate. Majority of the fighting took place at the radar station hyperfield and the tree line surround that area. The Red Team scored a General Kill and the Blue Team scored a XO kill (well, the points were given to the Blue Team, when in fact a member of my red team capped the XO in the back of the head from point blank range, and really rang his bell) Blue team dominated in the first half, winning the first mission by collecting what seemed to be all 3 ammo crates, and successfully bringing them back to CP. Their reward, 3 hundred points and pizza and wings for the team. But, as the mission goals were being reviewed, there was an error, and the blue team actually only found 2 crates, as they recovered a missing crate from the Doomsday game (hehehehe). So, there was one crate left for the 2nd half of the game, and Blue Team's point total was reduced by 100pts. The 2nd half started and within 5 mins, a special mission arrived from CP. Red Team needed to rescue 2 allies from King of the Hill, and escort them safely to their home base (Red Fort). Blue team's missoin was to kidnap the lost soldiers and return them back to the Blue Fort. Fortune fell upon the Red Team, as the Lil' Billy Williams ordered a large attack force to assault the Blue Fort by way of KotH. Their orders were to establish a foothold on the Spools, and launch an offensive against the Blue Fort, while a simultaneous assault would be launched head on from the Radar Station Hyper Field. The Red General lead the mission sqaud and successfully completed the mission, scoring 100 pts for the Red Team, and eliminating any chance at the Blue Team completing their mission. Lil' Billy then sent a runner to his forces on KotH and ordered the assault to commence, while helead a surge against the Blue Team's defensive positions on the Radar field, pushing his forces all the way to the creek line and Fuel Dump. The two assault worked out exactly as General Williams hoped. Shadowheart,s men were reassigned to assist with defending the Spools and were caught off guard by the assault against their fort. The Red Team scored 3 general hits and bottlenecked the blue team in their fort and resinsertion area. General Williams was then informed the final crate was found by a teammate and the crate needed to be delivered to CP before the end of the game. As per CP, the game was tied and General Williams had the winning points in his hand, with only 5 mins left in the game. He decided to take matters into his own hands and sprinted from the Radar Station to the CP (Cabin Creek's Office) and scored 100pts putting the Red Team ahead. Meanwhile, the blue team was rallied by General Shadowheart and made an all out offensive surge towards the Red Teams home base, with instructions of "Find Lil' Billy and kill him, or we lose the game". Unknown to the blue team, General Williams was already on his way to CP, scoring the final points of the game and securing his first win as a General. After the game, as both teams were discussing the days events, it was brought to General Williams' attention that the Blue Team pushed all the way from their base to the Pines, and were about to overrun the fort when the horn blew.
